Giving constructive criticism is one of the most important skills for leaders & managers. It is also one of the most challenging skills to acquire.

The leader or manager’s delivery style will mainly determine how the feedback is received.

Our workshop provides valuable knowledge and tools which will allow the participants to give feedback and criticisms that boosts the performance and attitude of their team members.

  • Find out the importance of feedback and criticism for professional growth

  • Learn to find the right time and place for the situation: praise in public, criticise in private

  • Remember past situations & how you handled them. Focus on repeated ones

  • Know how to create a safe atmosphere

  • Prepare your message carefully to give fair and constructive feedback. Focus on the message as well as the receiver

  • Be aware of your own body-language as well as other’s: tone of voice, facial expressions, postures

  • Handle different personality types and emotions using emotional intelligence & empathy

  • Focus on your listening skills: listen to understand, not to answer

  • Implement the ‘asking’ vs. ‘telling’ technique when giving feedback

  • Keep written records for important matters

  • Develop your communication skills in challenging situations

  • Seek for feedback and criticism and  receive  them  with grace
