One of today’s most pressing business issues is how to thrive in a complex, cross-border, multicultural environment. In our modern world, it is essential to understand the impact of national and corporate cultural differences in your working culture. While there is increasing recognition of the business case for culturally inclusive work settings, there is a critical lack of understanding about how to achieve this. Is this cultural intelligence (CQ) in the workplace training workshop participants will learn to adopt the required attitudes, behaviours, and to find solutions to reconcile dilemmas. A diverse workforce can be a competitive advantage, but only when your employees and managers are equipped with cultural intelligence.

 

 

COURSE CONTENT

  • Learn more about cultural intelligence or CQ.

  • Understand culture and its implications for interpersonal relations.

  • Assess your skills: gain awareness of your cultural intelligence’s strengths, weaknesses and blind spots.

  • Highlight inappropriate practices and behaviours at an individual, team and organisational level.

  • Strengthen your cultural intelligence knowledge focusing on language, customs, and appearance as well as values, assumptions, and beliefs.

  • Discover the cultural intelligence (CQ) model and develop the four main CQ competencies: drive, knowledge, strategy, and action.

  • Develop your ability to overcome explicit or unconscious bias and disrupt negative stereotypes by enhancing intercultural understanding and respect.

  • Improve your effectiveness working with diverse colleagues, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

  • Work on your emotional intelligence competencies with a focus on empathy.

  • Develop skills, strategies, and practices to effectively source, hire, and lead professionals from culturally diverse backgrounds. (For managers)

  • Increase awareness of foreign employees in the same company and learn how to handle foreign clients more effectively.

  • Develop a unique approach to risk, teamwork, problem-solving, decision making, and leadership depending on others’ cultural background.

  • Discover how to effectively use cultural intelligence to reduce miscommunication and misunderstandings.

  • Practice cultural situations that usually make you uncomfortable.

  • Highlight your learning keys and develop your action plan.
